Swallowing past the lump in my throat, I say, "I... Yeah, I guess. I mean, I just... I think maybe it was easier, not knowing what happened."
Maybe not in the long run. Maybe one day I'll be glad that I know, but right now, the knowledge isn't doin' a goddamn thing for me.
